That is great... And it reminds me on Evangelion too... : )
I like it how the other person can be also a shadow or a mirror image of the woman in the foreground... And nevertheless she's just a human girl under the spiky armour... So wide spread in society...

is this the hedgehog dilemma(it reminds me shinji of evangelion) i want to reach people but i'm afraid to be hurt and to hurt others? when you think about it, there's no way you can't be hurt or hurt others; i mean, this is how you manage to definite yourself, this is how you learn about yourself and the others and it's painful. But not always! i like the waving effects of the shadows , like a blowing wind ^^

hedgehog's dilemma? kind of an accurate association. sometimes hugging a hedgehog seems much better than hugging no one, though. (thinking about hugging as about a kind of metaphor of approaching one another).
it must be some kind of nowadays tendency which makes many people call the period we live in the Age of Loneliness.

I like how the spikes make her look unapproachable. I think many people make themselves look this way unintentionally. The first impression is often wrong, but too often we don't look any deeper...
